For small amounts, you pay in advance
For a lease, you send an invoice and wait for payment. For a €25 day pass, that does not work: chasing the payment costs more than the transaction brings in. That is why Doory puts payment before delivery where the amount is small, and lets reconciliation do the work where the amount is large.

Paying at the time of booking
If an external party books a meeting room or someone buys a day pass, the payment link is in the confirmation and they pay immediately via Mollie: iDEAL or another method you have enabled. Paid means booked. If the payment fails, there is no booking and no access is granted, so you carry no receivables risk on transactions of a few tens of euros.
Direct debit that runs every month
For memberships and recurring amounts, SEPA direct debit runs automatically per period. If one fails, you see it on a single list instead of in a bank statement, and it is precisely those failed direct debits that matter. With a coworking membership, access depends on that payment status, so you do not need to set up a collections process for it.
Reconciliation happens daily
The PSD2 bank integration imports your transactions every working day and reconciles them against the outstanding invoices, on amount, invoice number and counterparty account. A tenant who transferred money yesterday shows as paid this morning. Doory only puts a different amount or an unrecognisable description in front of you.
What you set up beforehand
Which payment methods you enable in the checkout, and for which products payment in advance applies. The latter is a choice per building and per product, not a fixed rule: you want it for a day pass, not for a regular tenant. All integrations are included in the price, so enabling them costs you nothing extra.
