Terms of use

The terms for using the Doory app and the Doory platform as a member, booker or visitor of a building that works with Doory.

Last updated: 9 September 2026

1. Who these terms apply to

These terms of use apply to everyone who uses the Doory app or the Doory platform as an end user: for example as a member, tenant, employee, booker or visitor of a building that works with Doory. By using the app or the platform, you agree to these terms.

Doory is provided by Spoelie B.V., Weesperstraat 113, 1018 VN Amsterdam, the Netherlands, registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce under number 94087512 ("we"). You can reach us at [email protected].

Are you a building operator using Doory to manage your building? Then these terms do not apply to you; instead, the agreement your organisation has concluded with us applies, including the data processing agreement.

2. What Doory is — and what it is not

Doory is software that building operators use to manage their building: booking meeting rooms and workspaces, memberships, access, visitor registration, service requests and communication.

Important to know: the services you obtain via Doory — a meeting room, a membership, a flex desk — are provided by the operator of the building, not by us. The operator is the selling party, determines the offering and the prices, and sends the invoice. We only provide the software used to arrange this.

Do you have a question or complaint about a booking, an invoice, access to a building or a service of the building? Please contact the operator of your building. Is the app itself not working properly? Then we will help you via our support page.

3. Your account

You get access to Doory through the operator of your building, for example by invitation or registration. You are responsible for making sure the details in your account are correct and kept up to date.

Your login details are personal. Keep them secret, do not share your account with others and notify us or your operator immediately if you suspect that someone else has access to your account.

The operator of your building determines what rights your account has, for example which rooms you can book or which doors you can open. If your relationship with the building ends, the operator may terminate your account.

4. What you agree to

You only use Doory for its intended purpose. In particular, you may not:

  • use the app or the platform for anything that is unlawful or contrary to the house rules of your building;
  • circumvent or test security measures without our written permission, or attempt to gain access to data or spaces you have no rights to;
  • share digital keys or access codes with others, unless the operator expressly allows this;
  • disrupt the operation of the app or the platform, for example with automated requests, or copy, modify or reverse-engineer the software, except to the extent permitted by law;
  • collect or use data of other users outside normal use of the app.

In the event of misuse, we or the operator may suspend or terminate your access, without prior warning if necessary.

5. Bookings and payments

If you book or buy something via Doory, the agreement is concluded between you (or your organisation) and the operator of the building. The operator’s terms apply, including any cancellation and payment terms. Payments and invoices are handled through the operator’s invoicing and payment services.

We are not a party to that agreement and are not responsible for the offering, performance, quality or invoicing of the operator’s services.

6. Privacy

If you use Doory as an end user of a building, the operator of that building is responsible for your personal data and we process it on their behalf. How this works, what rights you have and where to go with a request is explained in our privacy statement. You can have your account and data deleted via our dedicated page.

7. Intellectual property

All rights to the app, the platform, the software and the design belong to us or our licensors. You receive a personal, non-exclusive and non-transferable right to use the app and the platform for as long as you have access. This right does not transfer ownership.

8. Availability and changes

We do our best to keep the app and the platform working properly and securely, but we do not guarantee that they will always be available, uninterrupted and error-free. Maintenance, updates and outages may temporarily limit availability.

We may add, change or discontinue features. In the case of changes that materially affect your use, we will inform you or your operator in advance where reasonably possible.

9. Liability

As an end user, you use the app and the platform free of charge; you pay the operator for the services of your building. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable to you as an end user for indirect or consequential loss resulting from the use of the app or the platform, such as missed bookings or delayed access.

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for intent or deliberate recklessness, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law. Your statutory rights as a consumer remain fully in force.

10. End of your use

You can stop using the app at any time. You can close your account through the operator of your building, or request deletion of your account and data via our deletion page.

We may suspend or terminate your access in the event of misuse or if the agreement between us and the operator of your building ends. Provisions that by their nature continue to apply, such as intellectual property and liability, remain in force thereafter.

11. App stores (Apple and Google)

If you download the app via the Apple App Store or Google Play, the terms of that store also apply. These terms of use apply between you and us — not between you and Apple or Google. Apple and Google are not responsible for the app, its maintenance or support, and have no obligation to provide support.

To the extent required, the following also applies: Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and, upon your acceptance, may enforce them against you. You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a US government embargo and that you are not on any US list of prohibited or restricted parties.

12. Governing law and complaints

These terms are governed by Dutch law. Disputes will be submitted to the competent court in the Netherlands; as a consumer, you retain the protection of the mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence.

Do you have a complaint about the app or about us? Email us at [email protected] and we will work with you to find a solution.

13. Changes to these terms

We may change these terms. The current version is always available on this page, with the date of the last change at the top. In the case of significant changes, we will inform you via the app or via your operator. If you continue to use the app after a change, the new terms apply.

Questions or want to submit a request?

Email us at [email protected]. We respond within one working day and in any case within the statutory period of one month.

Doory’s own platform entity is still being incorporated; until then, Spoelie B.V. (Chamber of Commerce no. 94087512) provides the app and the platform. Separate terms apply to building operators under their agreement with us.
