Requests with a photo and a status

By Team Doory · 2 min read

A broken tap, a lift that keeps stalling, a flickering light. Requests like these now come in via the front desk, by email or by text message, and they often get lost there too. In Doory a member submits a request with photos, and both they and you can see the status.

Why "I passed it on" is not enough

The tenant does not know whether anything is happening with their request, so they report it again a week later, or they stop reporting it and complain at renewal time. On your side it is no better: requests sit in different mailboxes, two people pick up the same one and nobody knows what the previous person did.

What a request in Doory is

A thread with a status. The member creates it in the portal or in the app, describes the problem and adds photos. Those photos usually save a round of back and forth, because you can see straight away which tap it is and how bad it is.

The status is visible to both sides: received, in progress, resolved. When you reply in the thread, the member gets a notification in the app or by email, according to their own preference. They do not have to call to find out where things stand.

Why that makes things calmer for your team

Because there is one list of everything that is open, linked to the company and the unit. You see which request has been waiting longest and which unit keeps coming back. That last part is the valuable bit: three requests about the same heating in two months is not an incident but maintenance you need to plan.

What it gives you evidence for

In a renewal conversation or a complaint about service, you have the facts. How many requests there were, how quickly they were picked up and what was done. That is a different conversation from one with a tenant who says nothing ever happens.

Where the product stops

Doory does not repair anything and does not send a technician. The request comes in, is tracked and is closed. You call the contractor yourself, and you keep your maintenance planning wherever you keep it now.
