Move-in, internal moves and move-out as fixed moments

Moves are the moments when most things go wrong and that generate the most stray emails. Doory turns them into fixed moments: move-in, moving within the building and move-out, with a quarterly review in between. The tenant picks a time slot themselves.

Why a move is chaos today

A new tenant arrives on the first of the month. A key has to be ready, the name has to be on the door, the lift has to be reserved, and someone has to explain how meeting room bookings work and go over the waste policy. That runs through three people and four emails, and on the day itself the lift turns out to be taken by another move.

Moving out is even more sensitive. A departing tenant has to hand back the space, return keys and lose access on the right date. If that does not happen, you are left with someone who has access to your building but no business being there.

What a MiMo moment is

A structured step with a date, a person responsible and a list of what needs to happen. The tenant sees their part in the portal and picks a time slot that fits your availability, so you no longer negotiate by email about "could Tuesday morning work too".

A move-in carries the practical tasks: setting up access, inviting members, the name plate, explaining the meeting rooms. A move-out is exactly the reverse: revoking access, getting keys back, recording the handover, the final invoice.

The quarterly review

Between moving in and leaving there are usually years, and a tenant changes over that time. The quarterly review is a fixed point of contact where you go over how things stand: does the space still fit, is the team growing, are there complaints that keep coming back. It is also the moment when you see a renewal or an expansion coming, instead of hearing about it when it is already too late.

Why this is more than a checklist

Because the steps are tied to real records. A move-out knows which contract ends, which units become available, which members have access and which invoices are still outstanding. When you tick off the steps, your records change with them. You do not have a separate moving list that someone has to keep up to date.

What you decide yourself

The content of the moments. Every building has its own house rules, its own lift policy and its own handover requirements. You set up the steps once per building and then use them for every tenant.
